Usually, legal scholars do not use quantitative methods and technics in their research. As a rule, because they do not know much about how to conduct that kind of research. At the same time, modern journals require multidisciplinary research articles and methods of quantitative research are very useful. So we were all very grateful to Jorge Brantes Ferreira, prof. of the Pontificia Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) that he shared his experience in this field.
